New Year...New Ideas....

Can you believe that we are in the year 2010'? Along with every new year comes new ideas for our filtration companies to generate income. One of many new changes for our company this year is our new web site www.filtertechofgeorgia.com
In our industry, I believe that having the right information is one of the most important things to have when preparing to purchase any filtration system. If you are not asked at least 10-15 questions about your application, don't buy from that company. Not only do we need to know about the quality of your water, but also water pressure, quantity of water to be used daily, and end result of water (human consumption or working water).
Remember this, every job is different and there is no Cinderella Filter. (1 filter that fixes all of your water problems)

What to look for in a GOOD Water Filtration Company

Lets say you have purchased the right Water Filtration Equipment on-line or you have purchased a new house and have noticed water filtration equipment that needs to be checked out. So now you are looking for a good Filtration company to check out and service your new equipment.

What to look for in that company....?

Price would be where most people start, but I have another area that I think is so much more important. That would be service, does the company have a service contract? If so, can they guarantee the work they are about to perform? Do they have any water certifications? How long have they been in the water filtration industry. What was their response time when you first called? The answer to these questions will give you the confidence needed to make your decision.

These are just a few questions to ask and compare with other companies.

1st Step When Considering Treating Your Private Well

Before talking about the many different filtration possibilities you must first have your water tested. There are several different questions you must ask yourself such as:
What am I looking to accomplish?
Do I want to have the whole house treated or just my drinking water?
Are there any noticeable odors?
Are there any visible stains, if so are they red, brown, blue and/or green?
How many gallons per minute does your well produce?
After you have your water analysis results, then it will be time to start looking at your filtration options.

Splish, Slash, getting my feet wet...

Just getting started and ready to answer any questions that you may have about water filtration. I'll be keeping this blog light and hopefully funny if the mood strikes me.
*Just a little about me so we can get to know each other. I'm in my mid 40's, happily married, and have 3 great kids. I live in the peach filled state of Georgia, but my heart lies in Florida. I spent 12-13 years in the Plumbing Industry before moving into the Water Filtration World. A great background for what I run into on a daily basis.
Over the past 15 years I have achieved status as Certified Water Specialist, Certified Installer and Certification in Reverse Osmosis/ Filtration.
So, in the words of Pat Benatar...."hit me with your best shot, fire away."
